We aim to organise the 3rd International Conference on Sustainability in Hydropower in accordance with the Green Meeting criteria of the Austrian Eco Label. To achive this we are implementing many visible and invisible sustainability measures.

We appreciate your sopport in these efforts!

Whenever possible, please choose an evironmentally friendly mode of transportation.

Bicycle parking is available in front of the TÜWI building.

  • We recommend using public transoprtion for your journey.
  • If you have to drive or fly, you can offset the related CO2 emissions through compensation payments.

Accomodation

  • If possible, please choose an environmentally certified hotel (Austrian Ecolabel, EU Ecolabel, EMAS, etc.). We have labelled certified hotel recommendations for you.
  • Support your hotel’s environmental protection efforts (on-demand exchange of towels and bedsheets, etc.).
  • Turn off all lights, electronic equipment (TV, air conditioner, heating, computer, etc.) when you leave your hotel room

At the event

  • Opt for online registration or digital materials instead of printouts/handouts whenever possible.
  • Please dispose of your waste using the designated waste separation bins.
  • Reusables mean enviromental protection: opt for beverages served in glasses, food on proper dishware, etc.
  • Return your badge/name tag at the information desk at the end of the event.
